I've been experimenting some. Going back to traditional art—planning to paint on a canvas for my mother's room. First time in awhile I've done anything like that.
I'm so nervous, I'm sketching it out on a sheet of tracing paper! I've even decided to color it out too, just to see if the colors work out. I doubt I'll get those exact colors with acrylic paints, but it's worth doing a beta to see how it could end up, I guess. ¯\(°_o)/¯
Hopefully I actually start putting paint on that canvas thingy...
In other news, I've also been sketching a few things on the one decent digital art program I have (that isn't fancy-pants Photoshop). I am trying to paint some clouds (based on a nice tutorial
I found a long time ago and swore I would try it out) and mess around with some of the color blending modes. These things are blowing my mind! Digital drawing is pretty great~but it's so challenging! ;_; I can't seem to make up my mind on what brushes to use, the brush library is an oyster of possibilities. I spend so much time toggling the settings, I barely even get to put pen on canvas. Aggghh, I bet it's just the perfectionist in me being over the top as always. I really got to give that a break and let the messy side of me loose. =_=
